Committee Members Walk Out on Arab Knesset Member

Several members of the Knesset's Election Committee stood up and walked out during a discussion on the disqualification of Member of Knesset Hanin Zoabi. MK Ahmed Tibi of the Raam-Taal party said that he had respect for Judge Eliakim Rubinstein, the head of the committee but called the other members low-level lawyers.
MK Tibi used a double entendre in Hebrew that committee members took offense to. MK Tibi has often used risqué word-play and double entendre in the past, offending fellow Knesset Members. Many committee members stood up and walked out.
The committee meeting was on whether or not to disqualify MK Hanin Zoabi of the Balad party who participated in the flotilla to Gaza in 2010 among other incidents. The former head of Balad, Azmi Bishara fled to country after suspicions were raised that he passed information to Hezbollah during the Second Lebanon War.
