Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu expressed sorrow Wednesday at the passing of Amnon Lipkin-Shahak, a former IDF Chief of Staff and former minister. “Amnon was an Israeli hero who dedicated his best years to Israel’s security,” Netanyahu said.
“His heroism could be seen also in the bravery with which he conducted himself during his illness,” the Prime Minister added. “He never lost his noble bearing.”
“In the name of the citizens of Israel, I send my condolences to his wife Tali and to the family,” he said.
