Hevron governor Kamal Hamid charged Israel on Friday with trying to drag Palestinian Authority Arabs into a third intifada, citing recent steps taken by Israel against the PA and the statements made by Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman.
Speaking in an interview the Nazareth-based A-Sinara newspaper, the Hevron governor claimed that Mohammed Salamiya, the teenager who was killed by a Border Police officer this week after pulling a fake gun on officers, was deaf and known to the IDF soldiers at the checkpoints. According to Kamal Hamid, the soldiers did not allow ambulances to get to the teen, causing him to die from his wounds.
