Major-General Aviv Cochavi, the head of military intelligence, returned, last week, from an unannounced trip to a number of European countries, where he held secret meetings regarding concerns stemming from the situation in Syria, according to a Friday-morning report in Yediot Acharonot.
The newspaper says one of the central issues that arose was possible courses of action to avoid the chemical weapons of Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad falling into hostile hands, such as those of Hizbullah and other extremist organizations.
