Over 3,000 students signed a petition asking to be allowed to vote for the upcoming Knesset elections either at or near their campuses. According to Israeli law, one must vote at the polling station closest to one's place of residence. This means if a student goes to school far from home, the would have to return to the official place of residence to vote.
