No Public-Transportation Price Hike in January

Transportation, Road Safety and Infrastructure Minister Yisrael Katz announced, Monday, that January price hikes that were planned for public transportation will not take place this year. It's the second straight year, the January fare increases have not gone into effect.

The fares were scheduled to rise 2.7 percent, due to the rise in the consumer price increase. And additional percent was scheduled, due to the increase in Value-Added Tax that went into effect in September.
