Report: Islamic Jihad Threatens Not to Honor Cease Fire

Islamic Jihad has threatened not to honor the cease fire that ended the Pillar of Defense counterterror campaign if Israel does not allow leader Ramadan Shalah to enter Gaza, according to a senior member of the terrorist organization, cited Monday by the Bethlehem-based Ma'an news agency.

Referring to a threat on Shalah's life, Khaled Al-Batash told a public gathering in Gaza, "We hoped Doctor Shalah could have visited Gaza, accompanied by Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal, but the Israeli occupier had a different opinion." He added that Islamic Jihad will not agree to honor the cease fire as long as Shalah is not allowed to visit the Hamas-ruled area.
