Health Providers in NIS 1.259 Billion Debt

Israel’s main health providers (Kupot Cholim) were in debt to the tune of 1.259 billion shekels by the end of 2011, according to a Health Ministry report. The numbers showed a major jump from 2010, when the debt was 194 million shekels.

The increase was attributed in part to a budget hold-up caused by a delay in signing forms.
