Shekel Off, US Dollar Up, Euro Down

The official value of the shekel declined an average of .154 percent, Friday, against the other featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.835, up .577 percent from Thursday's rate, while the Euro declined .422 percent to 4.9609.

The pound sterling was set at NIS 6.1501, up .112 percent, while 100 Japanese yen rose .568 percent to 4.655 shekels. The Canadian dollar was fixed at 3.8655 shekels, up .523 percent, while the Australian dollar rose .388 percent to NIS 4.0156 and the South African Rand was set at .4404 shekels, up .893 percent.
