Gaza Division Tense as Hamas Prepares for 25th Birthday

A source at the headquarters of the Gaza Division of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) told Arutz Sheva', Thursday evening, that there was considerable tension ahead of this weekend's celebrations by Hamas of the terror organization's 25th annniversary. A Hamas spokesman announced that politburo leader Khaled Mashaal and his deputy, Moussa Abu-Marzouk would make their first appearance in Gaza since the Six Day War of 1967. Hamas will hold tours of areas hit by Israel during the recent Pillar of Defense counter-terror operation and display the Fajr-M75 rocket, which it launched in the direction of Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

Egypt warned Islamic Jihad chief Ramadan Abdallah Shalah that the IDF would try to eliminate him if he returns to the Hamas-governed area. They also gave guarantees they would not let that happen but he will not be returning.
