Egypt's Vice President Mahmoud Mekky told reporters Wednesday that the government is open to negotiations on disputed articles of the draft constitution that have led to intense protests and violent clashes between secular and non-Muslim Egyptians and the Egyptian government. 

Mekky expressed confidence that a solution will be met in the coming days.
