Report Cites Improper Conduct at Bar Ilan University
State Comptroller, retired Judge Joseph Shapira, published a negative report Wednesday on the conduct of the Bar-Ilan University, citing improper conduct by top officials at the university.
The report shows that University President Prof. Moshe Kaveh, and CEO Chaim Glick, have ignored clear rules regarding the employment of workers in general and the employment of family members of other workers in particular.
The report also shows that although the university has an employment committee, which is ostensibly supposed to determine the salaries of senior academics at the institution, the committee was merely a rubber stamp and senior salaries were in fact determined by the University's president.
