MK Yaakov Edery (Kadima) has informed Kadima party head MK Shaul Mofaz that he is leaving politics. His fellow Kadima MKs Dalia Itzik and Ronnie Bar-On are reportedly weighing a similar move.

Kadima MKs may be seeking to avoid public embarrassment by leaving before the elections. The party, which won 28 seats in the last election, making it the largest faction in Knesset, is not expected to pass the minimum threshold of votes to get seats in the next Knesset.
