Netanyahu to Meet With Czech PM, Thank him for Vote

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and his wife Sarah will leave Wednesday to visit the Czech Republic and Germany. The Israeli PM will meet with his Czech counterpart, Petr Necas, in Prague on Wednesday, where he will personally thank him for voting against the Palestinian Authority's unilateral move to declare statehood at the UN.

Netanyahu will then fly to Berlin where he will meet German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Thursday, in the fourth meeting between the Israeli and German governments. During the meeting the two governments will sign a joint statement which will highlight their mutual determination to strengthen the relations between the two countries and expand their cooperation in a variety of areas of strategic importance. The Prime Minister will also hold a memorial ceremony with members of the Jewish community in Berlin and representatives from the German government at the "Platform 17" station in Grunwald, the place from which tens of thousands of Jews were sent to their deaths in the Auschwitz and Theresienstadt camps.
