Egyptian Police and Rioters Clash over Constitution

Egyptian police clashed with tens of thousands of protesters Tuesday who rioted outside of the presidential palace in Cairo to protest Egypt's new draft constitution which was quickly completed last week.

Police fired tear gas at the massive crowd but then quickly retreated behind the palace walls.

The protest was organized by secular and anti-Islamist groups who believe that the draft constitution allows religious authorities too much power.
