The Jerusalem District Planning and Construction Committee on Monday night revived plans for the construction of 1,600 apartments in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Ramat Shlomo, a plan which was approved by the Interior Ministry in 2010 during U.S. Vice President Joe Biden's visit to Israel, but did not advance due to vehement protests from the U.S.
