Member of Knesset Shaul Mofaz (Kadima) said, Monday, that Thursday's United Nations General Assembly vote to give the Palestinian Authority non-member state status was a warning shot before a diplomatic solution that will be forced on Israel against its better interests.
Speaking during a special Knesset recess session regarding the recent Pillar of Defense counter-terror operation in Gaza, the opposition leader said, "It is time to open your eyes, wake up and act. This is the most tangible existential threat to the continued existence of the state of Israel - a Jewish state forever. There is no other solution than the solution of two states. I call on the Prime Minister and all the heads of the political parties and candidates heading the lists in the upcoming elections - Do not turn your backs on this issue."
