U.S.: Yeshiva Students Arrested for Contempt of Court

Four Satmar yeshiva students in the United States were arrested last week by local police on charges of contempt of court, after they were caught taking pictures of witnesses during a court hearing.

The hearing revolved around a scandal involving the Hasidic community in the United States. During the hearing, which was attended by four yeshiva students, they began to take pictures of the witnesses who came to give their testimony against the accused, a Hasidic man, and were later arrested by the police. The four were released on bail during Shabbat.
