Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas returned to Ramallah Sunday from the United Nations, where the PA successfully bid for nonmember state status. Abbas told crowds in Ramallah that his next step will be to reunite with the openly genocidal Hamas terrorist group. “We will study over the course of the coming days the steps necessary to achieve reconciliation,” he said.
Abbas’ Fatah-led PA currently manages areas that are home to an estimated less than 60% of the PA Arab population. Hundreds of thousands more live in Jerusalem, and over 1.2 million live in Gaza, which is controlled by Hamas.
