The Israel Defense Forces are checking reports of an explosion, Thursday evening, at Kibbutz Elrom in the Golan Heights.

It is believed that the explosion was caused by a mortar shell. Shells, apparently fired by the Syrian army in its fight against opponents of President Bashar Al-Assad, landed near the Kibbutz about two months ago.
