Local government leaders from the Likud party, leaders of the party's local branches and other activists sent a letter to the party's elections committee, Thursday, asking that Minister without portfolio Benny Begin be placed in a spot on the Likud Beytenu ballot where he would have a realistic chance of being elected. The results of the recent Likud primaries resulted in Begin being placed in a position where his chances of remaining in the legislature are not realistic.

The committee is scheduled to meet on the matter on Sunday.
