The chairmen of the committee for residents of Samaria Benny Katzover stated that the Palestinian Authority's bid for statehood at the United Nations was a "golden opportunity" for Israel. He said Israel response should be "the adoption of the Levy Report, establishment of new communities and a return to Homesh." Katzover added, "the UN vote is umpteenth violation of the Oslo Accords."
