Israel: If PA Takes us to Hague, We'll Take Hamas

Vice Prime Minister Silvan Shalom told Israel Radio that if the Palestinian Authority takes Israel to the International Criminal Court in the Hague, so to will Israel turn to the court in the Hague, demanding the prosecution of Hamas leaders and heads of other terror organizations in Gaza, for firing rockets into Israel.

Shalom added that the appeal of PA President Mahmoud Abbas to the UN is a violation of prior agreements, and wondered how binding their commitment to these past agreements would be if the PA bid passed. Shalom also rejected the words of "The Movement" leader Tzipi Livni, that it was the Netanyahu government and their unwillingness to negotiate, that led Abbas to take this step.
