Nisco Music Museum Still Strong After Fire

Two years after the devastating Carmel fire, the Nisco Museum of Mechanical Music in Ein Hod is going strong. Director Nisan Cohen stated, "the museum opened quickly after the fire with damage to only a small amount of instruments." Th museum contains one of the Middle East's biggest and most diverse collection of antique music boxes and other mechanical musical instruments. The collection was accumulated over a period of 40 years and contains music boxes, hurdy gurdies, an automatic organ, a reproducing player piano, a collection of 100 year old manivelles, gramophones, hand operated automatic pianos and many other antique musical instruments.
