National Union Pleased with Likud Results

Member of Knesset Yaakov Katz, the chairman of the National Union Party said he was pleased with the results of the Likud primaries. He said the new slate of candidates would be less likely to call for a "two-state solution" or institute building freezes. Although he still called upon the public to vote for the National Union / Jewish Home ticket, he thought the two party blocs could work nicely together in an upcoming government coalition following national elections.
