The steering commitee of the Yisrael Beytenu party is scheduled to conclude, Tuesday, the interview phase in its selection of candidates for the January Knesset election. The committee has interviewed more than 200 candidates.
Party Secretary-General Fania Kirshenbaum told the Yisrael Hayom daily that there was not truth to claims and rumors about the list including candidates who did not succeed in the Likud primaries. She explained, "Filing for candidacy ended on Tuesday last week, and the condition is membership of a minimum of six months in the party. One who is not a member had the opportunity to apply to the exceptions committee."
