The UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) has transferred $13 million in cash to Gaza in order to pay its employees, Kol Yisrael radio reported on Sunday. According to the report, the money was transferred with Israel’s approval.

The approval to transfer the money was given after a security check, noted Kol Yisrael, but sources familiar with the matter expressed concern that Hamas will use the money to finance the smuggling of goods and weapons from Egypt through the smuggling tunnels.
