Fake and Banned Drugs Found at Nazareth Store

The Health Ministry's anti-pharmaceutical fraud unit, together with the Northern District anti-fraud unit of the police department carried out an inspection, Sunday, at the "Haterufah Hativ'it" (Natural Drug) health-food store on Paul VI Street in Nazareth, after it received information that the store sold drugs suspected as fake. The inspection confirmed the suspicions and revealed drugs with high and dangerous levels of certain ingredients.

Diet pills containing the banned substance Sibotramin were seized as were creams and cosmetics not approved by the ministry, which has warned the public about the danger of their use.
