Former Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni and Labor party head MK Shelly Yechimovich held intensive talks early Sunday morning regarding the possibility of Livni joining Labor, Kol Yisrael radio reports. Livni announced Saturday that she will run in the upcoming elections, ending weeks of speculation.

According to the report Yechimovich offered Livni the number two spot on the Labor list and promised her a senior role in any government Labor joins, including involvement in negotiations with the Palestinian Authority. Livni rejected the offer.
