About 220,000 students from pre-school to the 12th grade will be returning to school Friday, in municipalities in a range between seven and 40 kilometers from Gaza, after classes were cancelled during the Pillar of Defense counter-terror operation precipitated by missile fire from the Hamas-controlled area.

Classes in the Gaza envelope, up to seven kilometers, are scheduled to resume on Sunday.
