The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange ended the trading week, Thursday, with modest to moderate gains. A last-hour selloff brought the TA Composite Index to 1,060.11, up .38 percent, while the TA 100 rose .33 percent to 1,067.99, including a fifth-of-a-percent advance to 1,211.03 by the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues. The 50 stocks just outside the TA 100 finished the day at 398.02, up 1.54 percent.
The biomed index led the gainers, climbing 1.56 percent to 784.75, while the rest of the technology issues closed at 344.04, up .52 percent. Next came the communications and media stocks, which rose 1.51 percent to 541.43, followed by the real-estate index, which closed at 289.14, up .98 percent. The financial institutions finished the day at 997.22, up .81 percent; the bank index rising .74 percent to 1,100.43 and the insurance issues closing at 1,071.03, up .18 percent. The oil and natural-gas stocks rose .53 percent to 1,108.35.
