Chairman Shevach Stern of the Likud National Headquarters, a member of the party's central committee, called upon the Likud primaries scheduled for Sunday to be canceled.
"On one hand we are prepared headquarters, and we'd like to have them, but on the other hand there is an emergency. Tens of thousands of reserve soldiers, including many Likud functionaries have been called up. In addition, a quarter of the country is in constant threat of missile attack and people are afraid to walk the streets. I wonder how we can hold elections in such a situation."
