Local governments, in association with the Health Ministry and the Bituach Le'umi National Insurance Institute, have opened centers to treat people who have been traumatized by the current round of terror attacks originating in Gaza. The centers are located in Ashdod, Ashkelon, Be'er Sheva', Kiryat Malachi, Netivot, Ofakim and Sderot. Specific information can be obtained through the 106 municipal hotlines and at (02) 670 9388.
The centers join the Hachosen (Resiliency) centers for trauma treatment in the Ashkelon Coast, Eshkol, Sderot, Sdot Hanegev and western Negev areas, which continue to operate as usual. People who live in areas where trauma-treatment centers have not been opened can go their local mental-health clinics or contact their health funds.
