IDF: Hamas Command System Destroyed

Spokesman Yoav Mordechai of the Israel Defense Forces said, Sunday evening, "Fire from Gaza into Israel continues but the launching ability [of Gaza terrorists] continues to wane." He explained, "The extent of the fire is smaller than at the start of the operation and Iron Dome continues to register impessive successes."

The brigadier general added that the Hamas command system has been destroyed and said senior members of the terror organization had fled for their lives, hiding in houses of worship, crowded among women and children. Noting that Israel was enjoying its highest international legitimacy in years, he concluded, "Hamas shoots from among the civilian population but before we worry about the security of the residents of Gaza, we worry about the security of Israel. That's our job."
