The Legal Forum for the Land of Israel has sent an urgent appeal to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Ehud Barak and other top officials to stop sending supplies to Gaza. The Kerem Shalom crossing between Gaza and the Negev was opened Sunday to allow food and medicine to enter the aarea.
“The security of residents of southern Israel takes precedence over the humanitarian concern,” said Attorney Avi Har-Zahav. “It’s obvious that the food and medical equipment will serve not only the civilian population in Gaza, but also – and primarily – the heads of Hamas, who need this help in order to keep firing rockets on the citizens of Israel.”
“At a time when our soldiers are on the verge of entering Gaza, it is unthinkable that the state of Israel assist in strengthening and protecting those who want to destroy it,” he added.
