Candidates Unhappy, ‘Why No Sephardim?’

Some Habayit Hayehudi (Jewish Home) party candidates expressed displeasure with the party list at a press conference Wednesday to announce primaries results. “Why aren’t there any Sephardim?” one asked, referring to Jews of Middle Eastern origin.

A second responded, noting that there are no Jews from Yemen in the top slots either.
