Poll: United Religious-Zionist Party Gets 12 Seats

A united religious-Zionist party including both the Habayit Hayehudi (Jewish Home) faction and the Ichud Leumi (National Union) would get 12 seats in Knesset despite the split-off this week of Ichud Leumi MKs Michael Ben-Ari and Aryeh Eldad, according to a survey by the Panels institute done for Channel 2.

The poll showed the united Likud-Yisrael Beyteinu list with 36 seats – more than either has now, but less than their current total. The Labor party is set to see a resurgence in popularity with 21 seats, it found, while Yair Lapid’s new party will get roughly 15.
