The Registration Committee of the Haybayit Hayehudi (Jewish Home-New National Religious Party) invalidated, Monday, the unified-ticket agreement that Party Chairman Naftali Bennett signed with Chairman Ya'akov Katz before Bennett was elected chairman. The committee cited the timing of the agreement, adding that such an agreement could not be made in response to another party's election campaign.
The committee presented Bennett with a list of parameters for negotiating unified tickets between now and the January election. One of the parameters viewed the Tekuma and Am Shalem parties as possible partners, but other parameters were seen as posing a hurdle to agreements with other parties. Bennett told the committee that he was sticking to his position in favor of a unity agreement and said that any decision would be coordinated with party institutions, as called for in one of the parameters.
