Qatar and Turkey Welcome United Syrian Opposition

Qatar and Turkey welcomed on Sunday evening the decision of the Syrian opposition to unite and establish a new national organization that will work to replace the regime of President Bashar Al-Assad. The two countries called to recognize the united organization as the sole organization representing the Syrian people.

"From now on we will strive for complete recognition of the new body by all parties," said Qatari Prime Minister Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani.

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said the Syrian opposition is no longer divided and requires full support.
