A court in Manhattan postponed, over the weekend, an appeal hearing on a New York City Health Department regulation requiring parental consent for the practice of "Metiztza B'Peh", in which a mohel sucks the blood from the penis of a boy he has just circumcised. The delay in the hearing has resulted in a delay in implementation of the regulation.
