Dr. Yehuda David announced Sunday that he is dropping out of the primaries race for the Habayit Hayehudi (Jewish Home) party.

“I’m sorry to have to tell you today that I am leaving the race because of the cancer I was diagnosed with a few months ago,” he told Galei Yisrael radio. “I simply cannot fight on both fronts at once.”

“I need to take care of myself and to strengthen myself and my family,” he added.
