The official value of the shekel rose, Friday, against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.896, down .179 percent, while the Euro declined .215 percent to 4.9644 shekels.
The pound sterling was set at NIS 6.2261, up .011 percent, while 100 Japanese yen rose .354 percent to 4.9072 shekels. The Australian dollar was fixed at 4.0559 shekels, down .212 percent, while its Canadian counterpart fell .572 percent to NIS 3.8956. The South African Rand was set at .4478 shekels, down .223 percent, and the Swedish Krona fell .668 percent to NIS .5802.
