Significantly lower temperatures are forecast for Friday, with frequent showers and thunderstorms expected in the north and center of the country, accompanied by strong winds and a risk of flooding around rivers and the Mediterranean coast. Local rain is possible in the south. The risk of flash flooding in low-lying areas will continue through Sunday. Slight cooling on Shabbat will bring temperatures below normal, where they will stay through Sunday. The Shabbat forecast also includes occasional rain, isolated thunderstorms and strong winds in the north and center, which will pick up on Sunday, when local rain is forecast for the northern Negev. On Monday it will be partly cloudy with a chance of rain until the afternoon and tempertures will rise slightly.
