Home Front Command experts took off for Accra, Ghana Thursday morning as part of a relief effort following the collapse of a local department store that may have trapped dozens of shoppers.
The aircraft left from the Nevatim IAF base. The team is led by the National Rescue Division Commander, Gen. Ramtine Sabti. The team will include physicians and rescue gear. Having assisted in previous year in Japan and Haiti, the Home Front Command is highly technologically proficient.
The IDF reports that it has much expertise in handling such crises as the spearhead of the rescue efforts.
