Report: Dichter Defends PM Against Livni and Olmert

Homefront Protection Minister Avi Dichter has attacked former Kadima party leaders Ehud Olmert and Tzipi Livni over their criticism of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu for his dismissal of remarks by Chairman Mahmoud Abbas of the Palestinian Authority in a weekend interview with Israeli television, according to a Tuesday-morning report by Yisrael Hayom.

The newspaper quoted the former senior Kadima member as telling fellow Likud activists, in a private conversation, "I say that Tzipi Livni had no reservations about the political principles that Netanyahu presented in the Knesset, but instead of acting in a stately way, she preferred political considerations." He also said, "Livni's resume does not include any decisions she has made."
