Chairman Yossi Bar-Mocha criticized new Ma'ariv owner Shlomo Ben-Tzvi, Monday, regarding the impending layoffs of journalists and administrative staff at the Tel Aviv-based daily.
Speaking at the Eilat Journalists' Conference, Bar-Mocha said, "Ben-Tzvi has decided to slaughter Ma'ariv workers. In the last few hours he has violated all obligation to the court [which oversaw the sale] and the newspaper's workers. Ma'ariv is collapsing and becoming an extension of Makor Rishon. Whoever doesn't have the opinion of Makor Rishon is being thrown out. These things will result in an uncompromising battle."
