Most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange opened trading, Monday morning, with modest gains. About 20 minutes into the session, the TA Composite Index stood at 1,074.64, up .33 percent, while the TA 100 rose .35 percent to 1,083.63, including a .32-percent gain to 1,220.68 by the Moaf 25 most-widely-invested issues.
The insurance stocks led the early gainers, climbing .92 percent to 1,093.53 as the financial institutions stood at 995.33, up .69 percent, including an advance of .78 percent to 1,093.32 by the bank index. The real-estate issues stood at 286.93, up .36 percent, followed by the communications and media stocks, which rose .29 percent to 510.58. Most of the technology index stood at 344.34, up .24 percent, while the biomed stocks advanced .09 percent to 779.22. The oil and natural-gas index slipped .11 percent to 1,119.93.
