Mofaz: Third Intifada if No Peace Deal

Chairman Shaul Mofaz of the Kadima party said, Sunday evening, that it was possible to reach a peace agreement with the Palestinian Authority. Addressing the forum of deputy mayors, the former defense minister said, "If we do not reach reach an agreement during this period, we will reach a third intifada [Arab uprising -ed.]."

Regarding the Iranian nuclear threat, Mofaz noted Israel's military strength but said it should not pay the price of an adventurous attack on the Islamic Republic without getting a result. He also noted that national elections were scheduled there too and the less said about Israeli plans the better, lest the country prepare its enemies.
