Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Sunday that he remains ready to negotiate with Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas at any time. Netanyahu spoke after Abbas sent a moderate message in an interview with Channel 2 news.
“If Abu Mazen is really serious and means to promote peace, we can sit down today. Peace can be promoted only at the negotiating table,” he said.
Netanyahu expressed doubt, however, saying, “I heard Abbas’s words. I heard he has since recanted them.”
