Environment Minister Gilad Erdan declared on Friday that he opposes the establishment of a Palestinian state, which he said would become a Hamas terrorist state.
"The Israeli Palestinian conflict is not territorial - the Palestinians refused to reach agreements with six Israeli prime ministers who even offered a Palestinian state," Erdan said at a cultural event in Tel Aviv.
"The conflict arises from their lack of agreement with the presence of the Jewish people in their land," he added.
